The upcoming webinar, titled "The Role of the Radiation Therapist in Radiation Protection and Risk Management," will explore the crucial role that Radiation Therapists play in the safe and accurate delivery of high-quality radiotherapy. This webinar will emphasize the importance of radiation protection and risk management within the radiation therapist profession, covering concepts of risk, risk management, and incident reporting.

Radiation Therapist and Professor in the Discipline of Radiation Therapy at Trinity College in Dublin Ireland. Prof. Leech is Course Director of the BSc. (Hons.) Radiation Therapy at Trinity College Dublin and editor in Chief of the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) journal Technical Innovations and Patient Support in Radiation Oncology.
Adjunct Associate Prof. Mary Coffey
Mary Coffey is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Therapy at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She established the School of Radiation Therapy at St. Luke's Hospital and the first European Committee for radiation therapists within the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). She is one of the founders of the Radiation Oncology Safety Information System (ROSIS) for the reporting and analysis of incidents internationally which has now been adopted by ESTRO. She chairs the ESTRO Radiation Oncology Safety and Quality Committee.
Dr Ola Holmberg
Dr. Ola Holmberg is the Head of the Radiation Protection of Patients Unit at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria. Prior to his appointment to the IAEA in 2008, he was the Chief Physicist at Copenhagen University Hospital, Herlev, Denmark. He is a co-founder of the Radiation Oncology Safety Information System (ROSIS, 2001), an international voluntary safety reporting system for radiotherapy and has also participated as a Task Group member for the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) on prevention of accidental exposures from new external beam radiation therapy technologies.
